We are making unprecedented investments in IT and modern teaching solutions and techniques, that will enhance the educational experience of each child and parent. We are committed to serving our families and local community, as we strive to be a leader in early childhood educational standards and quality childcare services that will better prepare your child for their future.

Mr. Brett

I started my journey with the Creative Children’s Center since I was 2 years old. I was enrolled in CCC’s educational Preschool program until I entered Myersville’s Kindergarten program. I practically grew up at the Creative Children’s Center and their programs and educators have shaped who I am today. While in Highschool and the first couple years of college, I worked as a Teacher’s aide for several years and then worked as the Administrative Assistant for a couple years before starting, what I had thought was, my “career job”. After four years at another corporate company down the road, I felt that I could do more to support my local community. I had completed by Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics and well as completing my MBA from the University of Maryland. I’m very happy to be back and supporting the growing vision of Early Childhood Education right here in our local community. I greatly enjoy working with students, families and teachers each and every day to make a positive difference in their lives. We are fully invested in the children and families of our community who seek the best possible education and care available.

The Creative Children’s Center shares a lot of history within our community, as we have called Myersville our home for 24 years. Our renewed vision and mission introduced significant changes and improvements to our school across all facets of our school’s operational model. Making these investments is critical to the success of our students as they participate in new challenges that better prepare them for the world ahead. So far, CCC has made significant investments in IT solutions, school security (both inside and outside the classroom), MSDE and Maryland Excels Accreditation, experienced and credentialed teachers, outdoor facilities improvements and so much more! We understand that families have a lot on their plate and it is our role and prerogative as educational professionals and leaders in our community to ensure that your child’s transition to school and childcare is as seamless as possible. Promoting a welcoming, safe and secure environment for your child to learn, develop and grow is an integral part of our mission here at Creative.

I would also like to thank our families, teachers and staff who have been with the Creative Family over the years and supporting the improvements that have been implemented over the last couple of years. Knowing that these program modifications were necessary to support the needs of our growing community, I had to prioritize specific investments to our growing school. As we have seen nearly an 800% increase in enrollment since 2017, these investments were absolutely necessary to ensure that quality and security were not compromised. I would like to thank those families who have supported us along the way and welcome all of our new families to our growing community and school. I look forward to establishing a positive-working relationship with all of our families and students and look forward to what the future holds. From all of us here at the Creative Children’s Center, thank you again and welcome to the family!

Mrs. Jackie

Mrs. Jackie has been with Creative Children's Center since July 2018. Mrs. Jackie has earned her Master's Degree in Financial Management and Accounting from the University of Maryland. Her experience as a revenue and billing analyst and staff accountant for 4 years is much welcomed experience to our Management Team. Working closely with our Management Team, teachers, staff and families, we are able to prioritize program improvements for the fiscal year. We welcome her to the Team and look forward to a successful 2019-2020 school year!

Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Lorena

Hello, My name is Lorena Clark and I am super excited to be the Co-Teacher in the KR Classroom with Mrs. Kelly!  I am happy to be a part of an amazing group of teachers at The Creative Children’s Center. I bring with me over 10 years of early childhood experience. I started out as a toddler and twos teacher. I then started working with 3’s. After several years in all age groups, I became the Pre-K teacher for 2 years. The past 3 years I was the Assistant Director at a local center. I am excited to be back in the classroom!

Assistant Director

Mrs. Emily

I'm originally from the NYC area but came to Frederick in 2006 to attend Hood College. After graduating in 2009 with degrees in Early Childhood Education and English, I worked for Frederick County Public Schools for five years before switching to a private school. Most recently, I worked for Hood while finishing my M.S. in Reading Specialization. I have been with CCC since January 2020 as the Kindergarten Readiness Teacher but transitioned to the School Age program in the spring. I will be the school age teacher for the 2020-2021 school year and I am excited! I love working with kids, finding out what makes each child tick, and helping them capitalize on their strengths and improve on their weaknesses. I really enjoy helping my students find books that they enjoy and realize that reading is fun!

When I'm not in the classroom or reading a book, you'll usually find me around animals. I have two cats and a bearded dragon (yes kids, I own a 'real' dragon)! I'm also a horse girl and volunteer at a nearby rescue where I work with the horses and represent the rescue at events.

School Age Teacher

Mrs. Brittany

I have been working with children for over 4 years. I started out at the YMCA as a before and after school enrichment teacher. The past two summers I have taught cooking camp for the Y. I have my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Hood College and am currently Maryland Credentialed at a Level 3. I completed my teaching internships in Kindergarten and a third-grade magnet classroom. I most recently co-taught a kindergarten readiness classroom at Celebree. I then transitioned to the 3-year-old classroom at the beginning of the summer. I decided to make change in August 2019 to come to CCC to work with the Early Learning classroom. I am excited to start teaching the Kindergarten Readiness for the 2020-2021 school year!

Kindergarten Readiness Teacher

Ms. Chelsea

I have been a teacher for five years and have been at CCC for a year, teaching the transitional class (3-4 year old's).  I attended Towson University and received my bachelor's degree in Family and Human Services, with a focus on children. I currently hold a Maryland Child Care Credential Level 6 to provide children of the Myersville community with the latest innovations in child care. I enjoy working with kids because I love to see how they grow throughout the year.

Transitional Teacher

Mrs. Jen

I'm very happy to be working at CCC where student's care and learning are the most important thing! I taught in the transitional class and the p.m. school-age program during the 2019-2020 school year and am looking forward to teaching the Early Learning classroom for the 2020-2021 school year. I've worked with children in a center environment ever since I finished college, no two days are the same!  I like to challenge children and keep them doing and learning new things. I love to see their joy and excitement on a daily basis! It's a blessing to be a part of the lives of the children, families, and staff here!

Early-Learning Teacher

Mrs. Savannah

This is my second year teaching at Creative Children's Center being the Lead teacher for the Young Learner's classroom (18-30 month's old). I have worked previously at Bright Horizons teaching two year old's and being a resource teacher. I graduated with my Associate Degree from Pierpont Community and Technical College where I majored in Early Education. I am a Level 1 Maryland Credentialed and working on Level 2. What I enjoy about working with children is watching them grow and seeing their "light bulb" moments. My future aspirations would be to build a warm and welcome environment for the children and to build a strong parent teacher relationship.

Ms. Kathy

I was a stay at home mom for 25 years. During that time for over 15 years I owned and operated a licensed home daycare. I also was a foster parent for the state of Maryland. My children are grown (son and daughter) and I have two grandsons plus another grandbaby on the way! I spend my time in my small cabin in the woods with my two dogs. I am currently pursuing my associate's in Early Childhood Education and Maryland Credentialing.
